FROM PASSION TO PETALS
A Blooming Beginning

My journey with flowers began in college when I worked at a flower kiosk in the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall creating made-to-order bouquets. From there, I became a florist at a retail nursery and quickly fell in love with the art of floral design. This passion has never left me and I’ve been working with and designing flowers ever since.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Botany – Urban Horticulture from Arizona State University and my master’s degree in Science Education and Scientific Literacy. For 26 years, I taught a wide range of science classes including biology, anatomy & physiology, chemistry, horticulture, and floral and landscape design. I am now a retired public school teacher and I am pursing my lifelong love of flowers full-time.
In 2020, I opened my storefront flower shop. Recently, I added my restored vintage flower truck—a true labor of love that brings unique floral experiences to the community.
When I’m not in the shop, you’ll find me in my garden growing peonies, dahlias, zinnias, lavender, and vegetables. I also enjoy propagating plants in my greenhouse, experimenting with canning (anything in mason jars makes me happy!), and spending time with my amazing & supportive husband, our three sons, my 90-year-old mother, and our two dogs, Cookie and Griff.
Flowers have been a constant thread through my life - blending science, creativity, and joy. Designing arrangements that make people smile is not just my career, it’s my calling.
